The Belgrade Philharmonic, under the baton of acclaimed Italian conductor Carlo Ponti, joins forces with one of today’s most distinguished double bass soloists, Božo Paradžik.
The concert opens with Puccini’s charming and youthful Preludium sinfonico, followed by two works by Rota – the witty and virtuosic Divertimento concertante for double bass and orchestra, a rare feature for this instrument in a solo role, and the La Strada Suite, based on music for Fellini’s iconic 1954 film.
